When will we receive our TVA numbers?

My husband and I registered our businesses in France (enterprises individuelle r茅el simplifie) with taxe sur la valeur ajout茅e (TVA) separately as we do not work together) approximately three months ago. We’ve since received our SIRET and social security numbers. We’ve also paid our second quarters cotisations.
However, we’ve not received a TVA number. We were told to include TVA on invoices for clients, but we’ve not received a number yet.

- When are we responsible for paying this TVA back to the French government?
