W-9s and getting paid in US dollars.

Two of my clients need to issue me W-9s and need to pay me in dollars. I consult in the public sector (government-affiliated entities and non-profits). As such, there seems to be less flexibility to change these requirements than there would be with a private company. What is the workaround for these issues?
