How to extract profits from a French branch office?

We have a UK business with a branch office in France for the last 3 years. Until now it hasn’t made a profit and this year it made a small profit which we would like to extract back to the UK. Our French manager says the decision should normally follow a General Assembly (and a report on General Assembly) where it鈥檚 decided what to do with the profit. What does this mean and how do we go ahead with this?
