Email from Inspecteur des finances publiques in Paris?
I’ve had an email from Jean-Pierre KHOURY Inspecteur des finances publiques Service des imp么ts des entreprises du 17猫me ardt. de Paris.
It’s headed majCFE / Service des Finances Publiques du 17猫me Ardt. de Paris - R茅ponse rapide souhait茅e and opens Bonjour, je vous envoie un mail concernant la Cotisation Fonci猫re des Entreprises. Une r茅ponse rapide sur ce mail serait tr猫s appr茅ci茅e. Les questions pos茅es permettent d’ajuster correctement votre imposition, vous 茅vitant ainsi par la suite des contestations inutiles.
It then names a company in Paris, with a different SIREN number to mine (I’m based in Limousin) and asks a number of questions about premises, when I moved in, how big they are, etc. It looks like they’ve mistakenly attributed my email address to this other company, or is it a scam of some kind? The email address that it’s from looks genuine and there are no other links in the body of the email. How should I respond?
