Can I setup French business separate to my UK business?

As , I have now checked and cannot take out the ten year insurance scheme on my UK based business working as an electrician and plumber in France. To recap, I’m not a resident of France - but have a holiday home here. I plan to work for a maximum of 1 month per year in France.
- Is it possible to set up a separate business registered in France for my French work and keep my UK business for UK work?
- Is it possible to keep them totally separate and pay tax on each in its own country?
