Auto-entrepreneur for property management business?

We already run a small gite business here in France - our main house plus a small gite, which we rent out according to demand, switching from one to the other. We have registered this as a Micro BIC for tax purposes. My husband would now like to start looking after other people’s properties, changeovers, maintenance, gardening and we are unsure if he can register this separately as an auto entrepreneur. I have also done some paid work as an employee, contrat de travail 脿 dur茅e d茅termin茅e (CDD) seasonal work and paid contributions with my husband as my dependant. We know about the ch猫que emploi service universel (CESU) system also, but are not really sure about the most practical way forward. Any advice gratefully received.
